RideBook has no user accounts and no server. Everything you log — vehicles, fuel, servicing, trips, photos — is written to your own phone and stays there. We cannot see it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
RideBook is developed and published by an independent developer based in Bangladesh. For anything in this policy, write to ridebook@hostingrim.com.
All of the following is created by you and stored only in the app's private storage on your device:
None of this is transmitted anywhere. The app has no login, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporting service.

This is the permission people care most about, so to be exact: we do not collect, store or transmit your location. While a trip is recording, position fixes are held in memory only, and used to calculate speed and how far you have gone. When the trip is saved, what is written to your phone is a set of numbers — distance, duration, average speed, top speed. No route, no coordinates, no map trace. If we ever add route recording, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
RideBook does not request background location access. Trip recording continues with the screen off through an Android foreground service, which is visible to you as an ongoing notification you can see and dismiss at any time.
The current test build shows no ads. If a free version with advertising is introduced later it will use Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID to show relevant ads. That would be declared in the Play Store data safety section and this policy would be updated first. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android settings.
The site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request — the same as on most websites. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
If you send us feedback through the form, we receive whatever you type into it, plus an email address if you choose to give one. We use it to reply and to decide what to build. We do not add you to a mailing list.
RideBook is intended for licensed drivers and riders. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what the app does with your data, the updated version will be published here with a new date, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
